Nutella Italian excellence, a coin celebrates it on the occasion of World day

ROME - World Nutella Day is celebrated today, a party that provides toasts all over the world to the Italian jar of hazelnut and cocoa spread and today records the issue of a coin by the Ministry of Economy and Finance. silver dedicated to the historic product within the "Italian Excellence" Series, with a nominal value of 5 euros. The coin is minted by the State Mint and is deposited and exhibited at the Mint museum. On the obverse of the coin created by the artist Annalisa Masini, a traditional jar of Nutella is represented in the center, with the inscription "Italian Republic" around it. On the reverse in the center, the reproduction of the largest Italian factory of the Ferrero Group is engraved: the factory in Alba, in the province of Cuneo, where the company was founded in the 1940s. On the left, the author's name, "A. Masini"; on the right, the year of issue "2021"; in the exergue, the value "5 Euro" and "R", identifying the Mint of Rome. The silver coin, in brilliant uncirculated finish, was made in three versions, white, red and green, "colored inserts - explains a note - which enhance the refinement and originality of the design". It is remembered that the first jar of Nutella from the Alba factory is dated 20 April 1964 on the intuition of the entrepreneur Michele Ferrero.
