A video supposed to present the "worst apartment ever seen" in New York ignites the social network TikTok, with more than 21 million views.

The author of the video, Cameron Knowlton, real estate agent, presents a rental that must not exceed 10 m².

It is a single room with a very small kitchen, equipped only with a mini-fridge but without an oven or stove.

Rental price: $ 1,650 (1370 euros) per month!

To find the bathroom and toilets, you have to go to the landing.

The potential tenant will only be able to enjoy a small closet in the only room of this cramped apartment.

If the real estate agent did not want to give, neither the address of the studio, nor the name of the owner, he only specified that the apartment was located in the district of Greenwich Village.

Posted to the New York City Realtor account, the video garnered 2.6 million likes and comments galore.

“So in plain language, you get a cupboard,” writes Helen, a surfer.

According to Cameron Knowlton, the apartment, vacant since October, should nonetheless find a taker quickly, even if the ad is only circulating among real estate agents and has not been posted on any major ad site.

Greenwich Village "is one of the most desirable areas in the world, so there will be people to rent it out," says the real estate agent.

Several other much more spacious studios, with bathroom and toilet, with similar rents are however offered in Greenwich Village on the major real estate sites.
