Because of an alleged theft, a resident in Berlin bursts the collar.
His neighbors comment on the notice - also the cheeky thief?
Berlin is known for its notices, which range in content from
angry to downright curious news
.
The English-speaking author of this slip of paper, who was in the stairwell of a Berlin apartment building, quickly noticed: This is about the former, the author obviously broke the collar.
As of now, he has two options: get upset about the comments of his neighbors, some of which left
really cheeky messages on his notice
, or deal with the “click and collect” system of the local hardware store * - because he probably needs one new doormat.

Resident writes angry notice because of alleged theft
"What's going on in this house ???" In capital letters and with
many question marks
: In this notice, the Instagram page
notesofberlin
posted, it quickly became clear that the author write the message,
the collar had burst
.
The reason is a missing doormat, which the local resident suspects as stolen.
The message ends with the somewhat rhetorical question as to whether the thief is really that poor - and promptly receives an answer from a neighbor.
“No”
, it says with a pen under the angry notice,
“but your doormat is just too beautiful!”
Only the author knows whether this answer really comes from the thief of the doormat.
However, the comment will probably not have calmed the person who posted the notice.
Another comment was only "right", a term from the world of online games that means something like "
you have been destroyed"
.
The last comment from the very helpful neighbors only emphasizes that the fifth floor is probably a popular place to hang out in the doormat community.

turn your face towards the water or away from it when showering?

Instagram comments are more helpful: Has anyone just locked themselves out naked?
Under the
notesofberlin's post
there are some users who have already experienced something similar -
Berlin does not seem to be a safe place for beautiful floor mats
.
Another commentator's assumption, however, goes in a completely different direction: Sure, only someone locked himself out naked.
Another user reports from his own experience that the
cleaning service for the stairwell also likes to put away floor mats
if they are still in the hallway on the cleaning day.
All of this will probably not satisfy the author of the notice - after all, his
beautiful
doormat is still missing
.
Maybe he has it back now?
