(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 06 - '' Now that the schools have finally reopened, it is said that infections are on the increase, but evidently chidoveva has not done everything necessary.

De Luca will also be Superman but has failed with respect to the activities to be put in place in the health sector and to protect public transport and in particular school and we are paying the damage, the children who do not go to school, the families who have difficulty managing them at home ''.

Talking is Carlo Di Dato, president of Assodiritti and spokesperson for the drivers of school buses in the city of Naples who have not worked since March 2020 due to the closure of the schools due to covid.

Today the operators are back in the square to show all their anger and avoidance.

87 of the 148 minibuses operating in the city have been deployed in front of the Maradona stadium.

Operators who had just resumed their activities with the reopening of schools who now fear a new stop following the words expressed yesterday by the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo DeLuca, who spoke of an increase in infections attributed to the world of schools and nightlife.

'' Every time the activity is resumed - underlined Di Dato - it means getting into debt because we have to reactivate the insurance, pay the garages, carry out checks on the vehicles and subject our expenses to pads to ensure the safety of the children we transport ''.

Activities for which - as reported - it is necessary to spend around 3 thousand euros compared to earnings equal to zero.

In fact, the school transport service in Naples is not carried out through transport companies but the operators, subject to the authorization of the Municipality, live thanks to the little girls paid by individual families and therefore no schools - no fees.

Operators who, by virtue of this typical nature, have not had access to the compensation that the Government has provided for school transport.

No aid not even from the Campania Region: '' A year has passed since the beginning of the pandemic - the operators point out - and nothing has been done by the Region to guarantee safety to the world of the school and to all that revolves around how transport although the Region has available funds, intended exclusively for school transport, which it has not yet considered to be used for ''.
