The fire in El Bolsón, Río Negro, which has already consumed around 7,500 hectares, generates tension between provincial leaders and the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation over the sending of more resources.
The situation occurred after
the mayor of Bruno Pogliano
asked the Government for more brigades, air resources and materials to fight the fire, which generated a controversial response from
Sergio Federovisky
, number two for Juan Cabandié in the Environment, who said that the claim is "unfair" and "untimely".
"The
only thing missing was for them to send the mayor of El Bolsón to pray to the church
to ask for divine help in this distressing circumstance," said Alberto Weretilneck.
The national senator and leader of Juntos Somos Río Negro also complained about the political decision not to send national officials to the fire area.
"
Maintaining a distance in the face of an extremely serious problem
whose consequences will be very serious, taking a position out of resignation, is like sitting down to watch the progress of the fire and say, 'we gave it our all," he said.
Alberto Weretilneck, senator from Río Negro.
And he assured that it is a "lack of respect" to deny "closeness as a value of public management."
"
It is wasting time and discouraging those who are fighting to the extreme against the fire
, that high national officials begin to judge the request of a mayor, who sees how the flames consume huge areas of forests and threaten urban areas," he concluded Weretilneck.
"It seemed inappropriate to me, I think
there are things much more urgent to resolve today on the ground than a dispute of these characteristics,
" was Federovisky's phrase that generated outrage.
The official's challenge to Mayor Pogliano is for having requested new lines of help from the Nation to combat the advance of the flames that are close to urban areas such as the houses in the Unión and El Mirador neighborhoods, just 11 kilometers from the urban area.

In the midst of the controversy over the statements of its number two, the Minister of Environment assured that they work "side by side" with the province to combat the advance of the flames in the area.
"
We continue to add resources to fight the fire in El Bolsón
. More than 118 brigades from the National Fire Management Service are already working in the area. At Ambiente Nación, we are deploying all means to stop the fires," Cabandié tweeted.
So far, the advance of the flames is far from being controlled, so in El Bolsón they already have an evacuation plan prepared.
Meanwhile, the fire advances towards wooden houses and the flames threaten some of the neighborhoods surrounding the Piltriquitrón hill.
