In Mexico, the navy has confiscated drugs worth millions.
This emerges from a communication from the Mexican public prosecutor's office.
Accordingly, 2.5 tons of methamphetamine and 100,000 fentanyl pills were seized.
According to the television broadcaster Televisa, the sales value was around 75 million euros.
The drugs were discovered while patrolling a boat in the state of Sinaloa, home of the cartel of the same name run by ex-boss Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán.
The boat navigated with no lights.
Two people were arrested, according to prosecutors.
Fentanyl smuggling is particularly big business right now.
It is a synthetic opioid that is 50 times more potent than heroin.
