Pinchas Tangi, 44, married with eight children, contracted the corona virus about two weeks ago.

Tangi, a healthy man with no background illnesses began to suffer from shortness of breath and his condition worsened.

He was rushed to the Corona Intensive Care Unit in Ichilov and connected to an oxygen device, which was removed.

Pinchas did not get vaccinated and now from his sickbed, in his weak voice but with determined intention, Pinchas asks all the young people who have not yet been vaccinated: "Come get vaccinated, and save yourself and those around you."

According to data from the Ministry of Health this morning, 1,737 of the patients are hospitalized, 1,121 of them are in critical condition, 405 are in critical condition and 316 are respirated.

The number of patients in critical condition is the lowest since January 9, when there were 1,005 patients in critical condition.

5,129 patients died from the virus.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in Israel, 3,480,598 citizens of the country have received the first dose of the vaccine (which is 37.77% of the total population) and 2,081,998 residents have received the second dose (22.59% of the entire population). The daily vaccination rate is about 100,000 people, about half of the vaccination rate at the peak of the vaccination campaign. About 70% of those aged 50 and over have already been vaccinated.
