“We children from Bahnhof Zoo”: New Amazon trailer reveals more about the plot of the series
“That almost seems too happy to me.
Like a drug commercial.
I hope that it will be different in the final cut ”, commented a YouTube user under the first trailer of
“ We children from the Bahnhof Zoo ”
.
The book of the same name (commercial link) and the film tell the terrifying story of Christiane Felscherinow and her friends.
In the 1970s, teenagers tried by all means to raise funds to finance their drug addiction.
But don't shy away from prostitution either.
Although the first trailer looks happier, Amazon doesn't seem to want to portray the difficult topic in a rosy light.
The second clip for the series (see above) shows that the protagonists' lives are also shaped by domestic violence and other traumatic experiences.
So viewers shouldn't expect to see a more harmless version of Christiane's story.
