(ANSA) - GENEVA, 08 FEB - The European Union and Great Britain are calling for an emergency meeting of the UN Human Rights Council after the coup in Burma.

This was stated by the British Ambassador to Geneva Julian Braithwaite.


    "Together with the EU - he explained - we presented a request for a special session on the implications of the crisis in Myanmar for human rights".
