The owners of a tourist complex of cabins decided to close their doors to visitors, canceled all reservations and made the place available to the brigade members who are fighting the forest fire in El Bolsón, Río Negro.

The property is located at kilometer 1923 of National Route 40 and is owned by the Ramos family.

At the entrance there is a sign that says: "

Come eat and rest

", intended for brigade members and neighbors who maintain an unequal fight against fire.

A huge gesture of solidarity in the face of the disaster that the fire is producing in that area.

"

Not everything is money in this world

,"

Paola Ramos, owner of the place with her husband

, told

Clarín

.

“We spoke with my husband and when the last tourists left we decided to make the facilities available to the brigade members and non-brigade members.

Because in this fire, in this disaster, not only are the brigades working, but also entire families, individuals and firefighters ”.

“When the last tourists left, we decided to close the place

to

the public

so that those heroes could come to rest for a while

, take a bath, have a drink.

It is the least we can do because since January 24, when this fire started, they have not stopped, "he said.

The woman added: "That is why this week we called people who had reservations to tell them that we are not going to rent and we returned the money. So we believe that we are contributing to our beloved El Bolsón. Because thanks to this place we have work. So we have to take care of it ”.

The fires do not stop in the Cordillera area.

El Bolsón and some towns in the Chubut mountain range such as Lago Puelo and El Hoyo are suffering forest fires that have devoured thousands of hectares of forests and have forced the evacuation of families.

Fire fighting tasks are made difficult by the high temperatures and strong winds in the area.

Also a prolonged drought.

And no rains are expected in the coming days, the only chance that the situation will ease.

For Ramos, “there are people who need to rest a bit.” And he said: “These days the only thing we have heard is noises from helicopters, planes, trucks.

That is very stressful.

My family and I don't get help from anyone.

Everything we are doing comes out of our pocket.

And I'm not saying this out of pedantry.

But we know there are bank accounts hanging around that we have nothing to do with.

We make everything transparent.

If people want to help, they should come to the complex with fruits, vegetables, empanadas, whatever they have.

There are people who work day and night, including members of my family ”.

The complex is called "

Eben Ezer

" (it means "

God has helped us so far

").

At the end of the talk, Paola broke down with a phrase: "It is as the word of God says: let's love our neighbor as ourselves."
