HBO returns to Allen-Farrow case in shocking documentary

Allen vs. Farrow retraces in four episodes the tumultuous story between Woody Allen and actress Mia Farrow and returns to the accusations of sexual abuse of their daughter Dylan Farrow.


For years, the affair between Woody Allen and Mia Farrow has divided and stirred.

“When I was seven, Woody Allen took me by the hand and led me into a dark attic on the second floor of our house.

He told me to lie down on my stomach (…) Then he sexually assaulted me

Allen vs. Farrow, a

four-part documentary series from February 21 on HBO, looks back at the accusations of sexual abuse against the Oscar-winning filmmaker, as well as the trauma caused to the family.

It traces the trials, the legal battle for custody of the children, and the relationship between Woody Allen and Soon-Yi, adopted daughter of Mia Farrow, 35 years his junior.

But the documentary promises to bring a fresh look at this affair with the many scandals, explains

Thus it is based on unpublished legal documents, and on exclusive interviews with Mia Farrow, Dylan Farrow, and his brother Ronan Farrow.

The romance between Woody Allen and Mia Farrow ended in 1992, when the latter learned of the relationship between her husband and her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Prévin.
