The Measurement and Evaluation Center at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set the date for the unified pharmacy exam for fifth-year students in colleges of pharmacy from Syrian universities (governmental and private) and non-Syrian universities - February 2021 session, Saturday 27-2-2021.
According to the center's announcement, of which SANA received a copy, the exam will take place at eleven o'clock in the morning for two hours in the centers of the universities (Damascus, Aleppo, Tishreen, Al-Baath, Hama, and Tartous). In it, or students who have only 12 credit hours or 4 courses left for the academic year 2020-2021, as well as students from non-Syrian universities in order to equivalent their degrees and practice the profession.
The center indicated that students of colleges of pharmacy in Syrian universities (government and private) who are outside the country can apply for the unified pharmacy exam through the entry points of the Syrian Virtual University in (Germany, the Emirates, Egypt, Beirut and Jordan)
The Center specified the number of questions to 120 questions, provided that they are in line with the National Academic Reference Standards (NARS), which measure the minimum level of knowledge and practical skills, and are from the multiple-choice question model.
The student’s success and obtaining a mark of 50 percent is a condition for graduation, and the student will benefit from the examination aids by only two marks, while the student’s success and obtaining a score of 60 percent is a condition for applying to preference for higher studies.
Students applying from graduates of non-Syrian universities keep the results of the written national examination in case they fail the clinical interview examination.
The center indicated that registration for the exam starts from today until the fourteenth of the current month, and the fees for it are paid at the Commercial Bank of Syria on the center’s account and at the virtual university’s access centers outside Syria on the university’s account.
