(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 08 - "It would be wrong to believe that the lack of an external (European) constraint on the expansion of the public debt should push us to increase it beyond the limits set forth herein by programmatic documents".
This was stated by the president of Cortedei Conti, Guido Carlino, in a hearing in the Senate on the national plan of recovery and resilience (Pnrr), adding that "returning from 160 percent of GDP, or beyond, as today is justified to predict, will be a difficult task".
