Prosecutors investigating the death of Diego Armando Maradona charged psychologist Carlos Díaz and the last two nurses who took care of him before his death on Monday: Ricardo Omar Almirón and Dahiana Gisella Madrid.
In addition, they asked the judge of the case to
open the two cell phones that belonged to the deceased idol
.
This was reported by judicial sources and with these three new defendants,
there are already five defendants in the case
investigated by the team coordinated by the attorney general of San Isidro, John Broyad, and made up of his deputies, Cosme Iribarren and Patricio Ferrari, and by the Benavídez prosecutor, Laura Capra.
The psychologist Díaz and the nurses Almirón -who took care of Maradona at night and early morning- and Madrid -who did it on the morning shift, thus join the neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque and the psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, as defendants.
Three defendants join the neurosurgeon Leopoldo Luque and the psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov, in the Maradona case.
It is being investigated whether the psychologist and the nurses could have had,
"by action or negligence"
, some degree of responsibility in a possible "wrongful death" of Maradona.
The prosecutors ordered that the three professionals be relieved of the oath to tell the truth, since they will begin to be investigated as defendants, and
on February 12 they must appear at the
San Isidro General
Prosecutor's Office
to draw up the corresponding act and appoint lawyers.
In the case of the
psychologist Díaz
, according to the sources, "
from the analysis of instant messaging it appears that it had a preponderant role
in the decisions made at the medical level."
The imputation to
the nurses
of the Medidom company, on the other hand, is linked to their status as health professionals.
For prosecutors, in the last hours of his life they
could have noticed the scene
that led to Maradona's death if they had controlled more rigorously.
Almirón had already testified and said that before leaving, that November 25 at 6, he entered the room and
noticed that Maradona was breathing
.
Madrid, who replaced Almirón that November 25 at 6 o'clock and was present at the time of Maradona's death, is the nurse who, when declaring before the prosecutors on two occasions, acknowledged that, once the death was known, his
coordinator ordered her to write a false report
stating that she had done the controls, when in fact that morning she entered the room to "let him sleep" and because
the idol had fought with her, and would not let her in.

The prosecutors investigating the death of Maradona asked in a letter to the Judge of Guarantees No. 2 of San Isidro, Orlando Díaz, to
authorize the opening of the two iPhone, one black and the other dark gray
, which belonged to the former footballer and that They were kidnapped from their own room in the house that their family had rented in the private neighborhood of San Andrés, Tigre.
At first, the prosecutors preferred to preserve Maradona's privacy, but now they explained to Judge Díaz that opening the telephones
is necessary to “collect more evidence”
and therefore
they need to
know about incoming and outgoing calls, messaging and voice records.
Too.
At the request of lawyers representing Maradona's children, prosecutors also
summoned three witnesses
for Wednesday.
At 10.30, it will be the turn of Griselda Vanesa Morel, a woman who, according to sources, took care of Maradona when he lived in the house in the private neighborhood Campos de Roca II, in the Buenos Aires town of Brandsen.
The second witness will be Romina Milagros Rodríguez, better known as the cook
"Monona"
, who had already declared in the file, was at the time Maradona died and in recent days gave a television interview.
