This is the hottest queue in Tel Aviv at the moment (and is very, very justified)
Do not be naive, do not be arrogant and do not think you are better.
At the end of the day, you will stand in front of the display case and surrender like the rest of us

The line does not lie.

We were optimistic.
So optimistic that we decided to come and see at 11:00 and even dared to move for an hour until 12:00, convinced that the hottest showcase in Tel Aviv right now will be waiting for us tense and full of anticipation.
When we entered the lobby of the Four Towers in Tel Aviv, optimism became anxiety.
A twisting, throbbing and energetic queue showed us what he thinks of people expecting a viral croissant at midnight today.
Cold, essentially humiliating sweat began to trickle down to our battered dreams.
The display case was no longer lit, she was abducted.

This queue, the result of only one hype day, is waiting to enter the POP & POPE Bakery (Hebrew you will not find here, do not be heavy), the carbohydrate and chocolate branch of the mother restaurant that watches from the 14th floor and waits patiently for its reopening.
You can find savory creations here, such as brioche goat cheese and Kalamata olives, three-cheese borax, small but playful focaccia, Parmesan-Tograshi cookies and also sandwiches.
In sweets you will find brioches and yeast cakes, large chocolate bars (including a homage to a popular dessert from the restaurant that includes corn and cornflakes), tender brownies and cookies waiting to be bitten (Wallstory).
But come on, we know why you came here.
The main showcase, the same one that emptied before our eyes as we sacrificed ourselves and did some journalistic work, features a spectacular collection of coated and stuffed croissants.
There’s classic butter here of course, and an almond croissant that lovingly accepts amaretto ice cream, and a pink raspberry version (filled with raspberry cream and a ruby chocolate coating).
There’s also a cornflakes croissant (in a white chocolate coating and milk cream filling), and a dolce or rosé, and also a cheesecake croissant that hybridizes between white chocolate and a delicate cheesecake cream, and a deep green pistachio model.

Ofer Ben Natan (Photo: PR, Pop & Pop Bakery)
The man responsible for all this madness is chef-confectioner Ofer Ben Natan, who took advantage of the forced corona respite and developed an intense cardio track from the 14th floor to the lobby.
And no matter how insane, that's how sane he is.
"If you were to tell me that the croissants are superbly photographed and that's it, it would be very disturbing to me," he admitted to Walla!
NEWS, "For me, defeat first is important."
Concern for this bite, at least for now, wakes Ben Natan up every morning at 3:30, and drives him to work in the towers.
"I swear when the clock rings, I swear when I get out of bed and I swear all the way here," he laughed, "after that you start working and I calm down."
Ben Natan looks with us at the onslaught and admits that he did not foresee its dimensions.
"For me, of course, this is a compliment. I'm happy to see people, and I think it also has to do with the Israeli need for something sweet within this whole period," he explained.
The ripples of that onslaught, by the way, came very close to home, when his northern parents were almost as innocent as we were and came on the first day to rejoice with their son, only to find out what Tel Aviv knows how to do for new carbs.
In the end, he calms down, they got along.
We too, do not worry.

Worth the noise.
Pop & Pop Bakery (Photo: PR, Jonathan Ben Haim)
In the end, with all the hype and labeling, the sumptuous lobby and the Armaniada that screams here from every corner, videos of the dough offering and the stories that went well into shaping the perfect croissant frame, stay with the taste.
And he, sorry to disappoint, is worth all the noise.
Original, unique and unexciting.
The croissants are * real *, buttery and fun-filled.
They are delicious even without icing and filling, and no less delicious with them.
The almond-amaretto dialogue, for example, connects - rarely to this city, which has tried construction many times - an excellent croissant and ice cream, giving respect to each one individually and to both together.
So are the little-forgotten cookies on the big table in the corner, and the cakes that stand next to them.
When the flashes fade a bit, and the initial enthusiasm is replaced by a more stable and normative flow, the audience will reach them as well.
Until then, Ben Natan will continue to get up at 3:30, continue to swear with a smile in the car and continue to flip.
You'll just make sure you arrive early.
