For almost 24 hours, Patrick S. hid in the apartment of the woman he had secretly followed for almost two years.
He was lying under the bed of her flat share partner, heard Sophie N. come and go - and waited.
When the 23-year-old went to the toilet, he left his hiding place, rushed into the bathroom and killed her.
That's how he described it himself.
Prosecutor Wiebke Gratz is convinced that Patrick S. immediately stormed Sophie N. that evening on January 11, 2020;
that he shattered her nasal cartilage with full force, sprayed her pepper spray in her eyes, rammed a stun gun in her face and cut the carotid and right jugular vein with a nine centimeter knife.
For Gratz, the murder of Sophie N. is the long-planned act of a stalker.
The public prosecutor demands a life sentence and the determination of the particular gravity of the guilt.
Patrick S. acted insidiously and for low motives when he stabbed the woman in her apartment in Hanover.
