(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 09 - A virtual journey through Italy with the Mayors who, from North to South, will talk about the best practices of their municipality in protecting the environment.
It is "ClimaComune", the online event to be held on 10 February at 11.30 organized by Eumans, a pan-European movement of citizens for sustainable development, and its current campaign StopGlobalWarming.eu, the European citizens' initiative to propose to the European Commission a tax on C02 greenhouse gas emissions.
From Giorgio Gori, Mayor of Bergamo and Leoluca Orlando, Mayor of Palermo and Dario Nardella - Mayor of Florence and President of Eurocities, Matteo Ricci - Mayor of Pesaro and President of ALI (Italian Local Autonomies) and many others, there are over 20 first citizens who will be present at the event, among the more than 30 who have formally joined the StopGlobalWarming.eu campaign.
To support the campaign there are also the Mayors of other European cities such as Munich, Frankfurt, Dublin, Dortmund and many others.
The deadline for reaching one million signatures is April 22, 2021, World Earth Day.
