Covid: 130 thousand more tests and on infections, 422 still dead

(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 09 - Infections in Italy rise again with the net increase in tampons and the registered daily deaths are back above 400.

In the last 24 hours, 10,630 coronavirus tests have been positive, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 7,970.

The victims are 422, compared to 307 yesterday.


    274,263 tests (molecular and antigenic swabs) were carried out (yesterday they were 144,270, about 130 thousand less), with a positive rate, however, in sharp decline to 3.9% (yesterday it was 5.5%, so the '1.6 more).


    People hospitalized in intensive care for Covid-19 are 2,143, the number unchanged compared to yesterday, in the balance between entries and exits.

The daily admissions to resuscitation were 146. The hospitalized with symptoms are instead 19,512, down 15 units compared to yesterday.


    The official victims rise to 92,002, while the total cases from the beginning of the epidemic are now 2,655,319.

The current positives fell to 413,967, which is 5,637 less than yesterday.

The healed and discharged are 2,149,350 (+15,827).
