(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 09 - In line to get the Covid vaccine, the inhabitants of Midhurst, in Sussex, have been displaced by the presence of the seventh Earl of Grantham, one of the most beloved characters of the Downton Abbey series.
Hugh Bonneville, the actor who plays Lord Grantham, has been part of the team of volunteers who welcome people to coronavirus vaccination centers for days.
"I greet them and have them line up," the actor told the BBC. Cowboy hat, mask, down jacket and yellow fluorescent vest from volunteers, Bonneville arrives every day at 7.30am. "In some cases I am the first person who comes to get vaccinated after months of imprisonment. They are happy to be part of this incredible work," he said.
