(ANSA) - BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 09 - "The Russian government is walking down a dangerous authoritarian slope. The space for civil society and freedom of expression is shrinking and there seems to be no room for the development of democratic alternatives. The Russian authorities in the Navalny case have shown how are ruthless in dealing with cases of this type ".
This was stated by the EU High Representative, Josep Borrell, in his speech at the plenary of the European Parliament.
