The extraordinary competition for the recruitment of teachers who have taught at least three years can restart.

The green light came from the Scientific Technical Committee at the end of the meeting.

The experts have therefore authorized the conduct of the last 4 tests that were suspended and which will be held on 15, 16, 18 and 19 February.

The idea of extending the calendar, given the particularity of this and the past school year, had already been taken into consideration: at the end of December, the education minister Lucia Azzolina had proposed to the Regions to extend the lessons until June. The idea in the field was to discuss the issue with the governors who are responsible for the school calendar. It would then have been the Regions, in conjunction with the Ministry of Education, to understand, also given the territorial situations, who should extend and where. In the meantime, in recent weeks, Minister Azzolina has requested 250 million from the Mef for training refreshments, for lessons and recoveries to be done immediately, particularly in areas where educational poverty is stronger. In August, an agreement was signed with psychologists 40 million for psychological support and branches for young people; as many resources have been sought and provided in recent months, again for this purpose. The current school year started on 14 September 2020. The Regions have the right to adopt the determinations of their competence regarding the school calendar, without prejudice to the need to carry out at least two hundred days of lessons, as established by the legislation.
