It was one of the bizarre appointments in the final stages of the US presidential election: the press conference of Donald Trump's campaign team on November 7, 2020. An appointment that journalists visited in a less glamorous industrial area of Philadelphia in front of a horticultural store called »Four Seasons Total Landscaping "led - and not, as everyone had suspected, to a luxury hotel in the" Four Seasons "chain.
The events of this memorable day are now to be filmed.
The name of the documentation: "Four Seasons Total Documentary".
The project is being produced by Glen Zipper and Sean Stuart, who won an Oscar in 2012 for their sports documentary "Undefeated".
Directed by Christopher Stoudt.
Those involved announced this on Twitter.
As a reminder: The then US President Donald Trump had announced a "big press conference" on that November day.
"At Four Seasons, Philadelphia," it said in his tweet.
Almost everyone therefore assumed that this must be the Four Seasons hotel.
The correction followed promptly: "Four Seasons Total Landscaping" is the place where Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani will face the press.
And so it happened that at the moment when the US television channel CNN had declared Joe Biden as the next president of the USA, numerous media representatives were waiting in a parking lot near a sex shop for the lawyers of the other side.
Trump had probably meant and wanted the hotel before his team could book it.
But it has become the landscape gardening company with a similar name, which has since become world-famous - and offers t-shirts and stickers in a shop that was set up quickly.
According to the filmmakers, executives from "Four Seasons Total Landscaping" will try to explain how the events came about.
According to several media reports, the documentation should be »non-political« and with a »feel-good tone«, the production of which should be finished this month.
"After such a tough year, everyone needed a moment to laugh," says director Stoudt.
It was initially not known whether Donald Trump would resume his acting career.
