A man died of a heart attack this Tuesday on the side of the Bahía Blanca Municipal Hospital.
He had arrived with a pain in his chest, but the hospital staff
did not attend to him
and he fainted on the sidewalk, when he was leaving the place
.
"They said that all the doctors were busy," denounced the deceased's nephew.
David Garrido, 55 years old, was a school janitor and did money.
On Tuesday morning he went out to sell cardboard.
Upon returning home, he felt
severe chest pain
and his family convinced him to go to the hospital.

"My uncle arrived at 3:30 pm with chest pain. They did not want to attend to
him

they told him there were no doctors,
" Ariel Núñez, nephew of the man who died, explained to LB24 radio.
So Garrido decided to go to the Spanish Hospital, five blocks away.
"He walked out and was seized by an attack at 50 meters," added Núñez, who assured that delays are common in that hospital.

Núñez continued his story.
Faced with the claims of Garrido's grandson, who had accompanied his grandfather, "a doctor said that they had nothing to do with it, that this was a management problem and that if they had treated him they would have saved him."
From the Municipal Hospital they
denied
the family's version.
They said that the doctors were treating an injured person who had arrived a few minutes before and that Garrido's relatives were asked "a few minutes to take the data."
"There has been a
confluence of unfortunate factors
," lamented Graciela González Prieto, the hospital's technical secretary.
"The family member of this man is told that the data would be taken immediately and they were going to enter him. He had a history of chest pain
for a month
and had not consulted until Tuesday," González Prieto said.
According to his testimony, Garrido told a relative "that it didn't hurt so much and that he was going to go home."
"Then relatives bring him to the gate of Guardia and he enters with a cardiac arrhythmia, which demands advanced resuscitation maneuvers.
Electrical cardioversions were performed for 40 minutes
, which were never effective," the technical secretary continued.
He also defended the administrative staff from entering the medical center.
"He is prepared to ask the pertinent questions and draw up a criterion of severity to
establish an order of care,
" said González Prieto, while noting that "the protocols were met."
"Hospital life is particular and sometimes one would like to multiply to prevent these things from happening. There are also doctors dedicated to caring for patients with Covid, who cannot leave their place due to a safety issue. There has been a confluence of unfortunate factors, "said the secretary.
