The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported 7,739 new cases of coronavirus and another 109 deaths from the disease reported in the last 24 hours.

With these new cases, the country reached 2 million infections since the pandemic reached Argentina.

While waiting for the arrival of more vaccines, the government reported that the main Argentine tourist destinations register a sustained decrease in active cases of coronavirus in the last three weeks.

The situation in the summer centers is consistent with the occupation of intensive care beds with infected patients, which fell for the first time since the increase registered in mid-December.

With the departure of the fourth flight of Aerolineas Argentinas last Tuesday to Russia to bring a new batch of

Sputnik V

, the process of supplying vaccines to the country is reactivated in a context in which the Government is betting on a progressive normalization in the delivery of doses produced in Moscow over the next few days.

The president of the flag company,

Pablo Ceriani

, announced this morning on his Twitter account that the departure of Aerolineas Argentinas flight AR1064 bound for Russia is confirmed for Thursday at 11 p.m. and added that "the fourth of these operations is very important to face Covid-19 ".
