The British National Health Service (NHS) mobilizes Elton John and Michael Caine to convince His Majesty's subjects to get vaccinated against coronavirus: in a video the pop star and the two-time Oscar-winning actor reassure the public about the effectiveness of the vaccines and on the best way to deal with what the singer calls "this miserable disease".
The video - which lasts 90 seconds - shows Elton John auditioning for a part in a commercial to promote the country's immunization plan: the singer pretends to get a shot before singing his 1983 hit 'I'm Still. Standing '.
After several takes the director tells him: "Thanks, Elton, we'll let you know".
And he replies, "Well, with this short notice you won't find anyone bigger."
The video then shows Michael Caine getting vaccinated and says, "It didn't hurt me", adding "not many people know".
"I wanted to take part in this video to show people the benefits of being vaccinated and how (the vaccine) helps protect ourselves and the people we love," commented the 73-year-old singer.
