Lawyers for the night watchman of the building where the reality star was attacked have obtained an order authorizing the seizure

Lawyers announced Wednesday that they had obtained "the authorization to seize the rights" of the book "I kidnapped Kim Kardashian", in which the thug Yunice Abbas, 67, relates the thunderous robbery of the star of the reality TV in Paris in 2016. These lawyers, Me Henri de Beauregard and Me Mohand Ouidja, represent the night watchman of the luxury building in the heart of Paris in which the American star had rented an apartment.

In a statement, they said they had obtained Tuesday, "an order of the judicial court of Bobigny authorizing the seizure of rights" of the author on the sales of his book published at the beginning of the month.

From spotting to acting out, Yunice Abbas describes in detail a "coup" according to him perfectly executed, where a team of five men, aged 60 to 72, stole € 9 million of jewelry from Kim Kardashian, threatened with a gun then tied up and gagged.

"Our client considers this communication campaign indecent," say the two lawyers.

He maintains that the individuals who attacked him that evening were not peaceful “grandpa robbers”, but determined and armed criminals ”.

The night watchman, who worked to finance his studies at the Sorbonne, had been "neutralized by several people at the threat of a weapon", they recall.

The robbers awaiting trial

Seizing the rights "would mean that the rights paid to Mr. Abbas, he could not touch them."

They would be placed under seizure until the day when they would be paid to our client "in compensation for the damage suffered, explains Me de Beauregard, stressing that his client had retained the psychological after-effects of this robbery carried out in the middle of" Fashion week ".

Yunice Abbas and eleven suspected accomplices, including several figures of French banditry convicted several times in the 1980s and 1990s, were arrested three months after the facts.

They are awaiting trial today.

Last June, the Paris prosecutor's office had requested their referral to an assize court, in particular for "organized robbery with a weapon", "kidnapping" and "criminal association".

Asked by AFP, the L'Archipel publishing house did not react immediately.
