(ANSA) - NEW YORK, 10 FEB - Bruce Springsteen was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
To report the news is the site Tmz according to which the episode occurred on November 14 in New Jersey, but has only now been disclosed.
Tmz, citing a source close to law enforcement, reported that 'The Boss' was detained at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook and found in a state of intoxication, as well as being charged with alcohol consumption in closed areas and reckless driving.
Springsteend should appear in court in the coming weeks: park officials have confirmed the arrest to a local network, stating that the 71-year-old singer was "collaborative".
There is currently no comment from the star's entourage.
The news was released a few days after the Super Bowl where Springsteen participated in a commercial for Jeep in which he launched a call to reunite America after a period of severe political and social divisions.
