As with many people, the pandemic has left its mark on Jennifer Lopez.
She was in the process of planning her wedding to 45-year-old ex-baseball player Alex Rodriguez when the coronavirus sparked a global crisis.
"We had been planning for months and months and months," Lopez said in an interview with Allure magazine.
The couple wanted to celebrate overseas, instead they had to stay at home.
"Maybe that was not the right time," said the 51-year-old.
Everything has its “perfect, divine moment”.
Rodriguez didn't seem to have a problem with it.
"We have to go with the flow now," he said in April last year on the "Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon.
“Maybe we're having a drive-through wedding.
That would be cheaper, ”he joked.
Instead of getting married, Lopez said they both went through couples therapy.
"I think that was very helpful for us in our relationship." The singer and the athlete have been together since 2017 and have been engaged for almost two years.
In addition to the positive aspects of a withdrawn life, there were also annoying moments, according to Lopez: She missed being creative and let off steam.
Not so her fiancé Rodriguez.
He always emphasized: »I love being at home.
I love my zoom calls.
I love to know that the kids are there and that you are there all the time. "
It would be the fourth marriage for Lopez
"Allure" wanted to know from Lopez whether she succeeded in relaxing at times.
Yes, said the artist.
“I'm sitting on the couch and eating potato chips!
But you shouldn't get used to it too much because it's so comfortable and so much fun. "
Lopez has already been married three times: with the Cuban waiter Ojani Noa, with background dancer Chris Judd and from 2004 to 2014 the singer Marc Anthony.
Her twins Maximilian David, called Max, and Emme Maribel come from their marriage to Anthony.
