The Aerolineas Argentinas plane that will bring 400,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine left

This Wednesday at 23:00 a new Aerolineas Argentinas flight departed from Ezeiza to Russia to bring to the country a shipment with

400,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine

.

It is the

fourth plane

sent by the flag carrier to Moscow, and like its predecessors, it is an Airbus A-330 for passengers with a maximum capacity in its holds for 600,000 components of the coronavirus vaccine.

He is expected to return to Argentina after the 42 hours required by the operation, which includes the time of the flights plus a period of between four and six hours for the loading process.

The confirmation of the flight had been given by the president of Aerolineas Argentinas,

Pablo Ceriani

, this Wednesday morning.

"The Buenos Aires - Moscow route is the longest non-stop we have carried out so far. This operation requires significant logistical work in coordination with actors from both countries. All our energy is put into fulfilling this task," explained Ceriani in his twitter account.


According to government sources indicated to Clarín, the shipment

will be 400,000 doses of the first component of the vaccine

, and it is the largest of all those that have arrived so far.

Among the three previous shipments,

820,000 doses

of Sputnik V

were counted
