The Arbeiterwohlfahrt Schwaben has admitted irregularities in vaccinations against the corona virus.
According to a statement that SPIEGEL has received, there were "obviously unacceptable changes in the given ranking."
The district association is reacting to an article in the »Augsburger Allgemeine«.
The newspaper had reported that in several nursing homes of the AWO Schwaben people had been vaccinated out of sequence.
For this, the vaccination teams were deceived because "people who were not at home" were placed on vaccination lists as caregivers.
In Augsburg, the partner of a home manager and in another case the wife of a manager were vaccinated in this way.
The AWO did not comment on these specific cases.
The board of directors will examine the processes, it said.
Bavaria's AWO boss Thomas Beyer had previously announced that he disapproved if someone had obtained a vaccination through false information.
"I expect that in the case of vaccinations in AWO homes, in cooperation with the responsible vaccination doctors, the regulations will be complied with in every way."
