Bruce Springsteen was caught drunk behind the wheel of his car in a park in New Jersey, USA.
Therefore, the US rock star has to appear in court.
As a spokeswoman for the AFP news agency confirmed, Springsteen was arrested on November 14th in Sandy Hook National Park.
The 71-year-old has received three summons for drunk driving, dangerous driving and drinking in a place where this is not permitted.
Springsteen was "cooperative," said the spokeswoman.
According to the celebrity website "TMZ", which first reported on the case, Springsteen will have to stand trial in the coming weeks.
Jeep commercial at the Super Bowl
The singer surprisingly appeared on Sunday during the half-time break of the Super Bowl in a car manufacturer's commercial.
He sees "hope in the street," says Springsteen in the spot as he drives through the vast expanses of the Midwest.
The automaker Jeep has since released a statement.
It is considered inappropriate to comment on details of a matter that has only been read about.
The company still announced that it would withdraw the commercial for the time being until the matter was resolved.
