The carnival is celebrated without an audience, the station records singing and dancing in advance.
SWR sets up hygiene rules for the production of the show.

corona pandemic
, the celebrations were on the brink for a long time, but
SWR
finally confirmed
the start of production.
In contrast to the years before,
no audience in the hall is
allowed, singing and dancing are recorded in advance and incorporated into the show as a clip.
Those responsible are also shortening the length of the carnival significantly: Instead of the usual four hours, the celebration in 2021 will only
last
two and a half hours
.

p.m. in front of the screens.
