The Minister of Health updated that 147,000 people were vaccinated yesterday • So far, close to 4 million citizens have been vaccinated in Israel • For the first time this month: less than a thousand seriously ill
"147,000 people have been vaccinated in Corona in the last day," Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said this morning (Friday).
To date, about 3.8 million people have been vaccinated, of which about two and a half million are already entitled to a vaccine certificate.

According to Edelstein, "Otto will open the gyms - in your small decision you will decide whether to be part of the celebration or stay behind: just give a shoulder to the vaccine. A small step for you, a big step for the country."
Also, for the first time since the start of the third wave, there were optimistic voices about the decline in hospital morbidity: the number of patients hospitalized in critical condition last night stood at 992.
Another encouraging statistic is that the graphs are reversed - the proportion of adults aged 60 and over among patients in critical condition is declining, but the proportion of people aged 60 and under, those who started getting vaccinated at a later stage, is rising.
Following the decrease in the number of seriously ill patients, Rambam closed the corona ward operated by the army. Hadassah is preparing to close the ward and so on in other hospitals.
Data from the Information and Digital Health Division at Maccabi show that as of this stage, less than 0.1% of the recipients of the second vaccine dose have been in Corona, and the vaccine's effectiveness in Israel now stands at 93%.
