At least six people were killed and dozens more injured Thursday in a giant pileup, involving more than 100 vehicles, on a Texas highway.
This chain collision, north of the city of Fort Worth, was undoubtedly aided by the icy pavement.
The emergency services counted six dead and transported 36 wounded to hospitals in the region, detailed Mr. Drivdahl.
“The scene we saw today is really different from what we have probably never seen, and hope to never see again,” said Neil Noakes, the Fort Worth Police Chief.
“Our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers go out to all those affected by this tragic incident.
We feel your pain, ”he continued.
The toll could increase, rescuers still busy extricating victims stuck in their car.
