In the last month there has been a surge in Valentine's Day 'themed' cyber scam attempts, with over 400 phishing email campaigns, those in which attempts are made to trick users into clicking on dangerous links.

This was found by Check Point Research, according to which the figure is increasing compared to last year.

In the last month, the experts write on the company's blog, there was also a 29% increase compared to January 2020 in registered domains, and out of over 23 thousand considered 523 were 'suspicious'.

Most phishing scams are focused on buyer fraud, in which they try to lure the user with very low priced offers of possible gifts.

“We have been studying shopping scams for several years now.
