Two Argentines were burned to death this Saturday when the truck in which they were transporting a shipment of medicinal oxygen that Argentina donated to Bolivia broke down and exploded.
The accident occurred in the Cieneguillas area of the highway
between Tarija and Potosí, and the victims are the driver Hugo Luis Herrera, 63, and his assistant, Jorge Gustavo Humberto, 40 years old.
The departmental commander of the National Police, Sadid Ávila, confirmed that the transit event occurred at 11 a.m. this Saturday and was a tanker that came from Tucumán (Argentina) transporting medicinal oxygen to Cochabamba.

According to Ávila, the bodies of the occupants, the driver and his companion, were burned by the explosion near the community of Cieneguillas, on the route to Potosí.
The Highway Patrol from the Pajchani checkpoint and Firefighters went to the scene of the incident to verify the grounding and subsequent fire of the Iveco tanker truck that was completely destroyed by the explosion.
In addition, the bodies of the two victims were charred, to the point that the officers did not find personal documentation and the vehicle.

Ávila said that the causes of the tanking of the tanker that left from Tucumán to enter the country through the border city of Bermejo are being investigated.
