It is undoubtedly the surprise of the moment: the winter sales 2021 are extended by two weeks, which moves their last day from Tuesday February 16 to Tuesday March 2.
If the amateurs of good business are inevitably delighted with the situation, the sites of sale on line are not out of their side.
In fact, e-merchants do not have to take any particular steps and they can therefore content themselves with promoting their promotional offers for another two weeks.
At this point, it is not yet clear whether e-merchants will lower their prices even further, as many of them are already showing sales at a loss right now.
But the competition is such that some might add an additional markdown to their winter sale operation.
In any case, it is certain that most Internet sales sites will play extra time: there is therefore no reason to deprive yourself of this new wave of sales.

Why are the 2021 sales extended?
The reason for the extension of the 2021 winter sales can be summed up in two words: health crisis.
As was the case last year for the summer sales, but also for other promotional events such as Prime Day or Black Friday, this new edition of the winter sales is upset by the current context in France.
Stores can accommodate fewer customers and they also have to close earlier, which greatly limits the periods in which shoppers can take advantage of the currently reduced prices.
This is why the Minister for SMEs announced on Friday February 12 that the winter sales would be extended by two weeks this year.
It is therefore until Tuesday March 2 that it is possible to enjoy it, in physical stores, but also on the Internet, of course.
While this is obviously very good news for all French traders, there is still something funny about the situation.
In fact, for a very long time, the sales lasted six weeks during each session.
Their duration was reduced to four weeks in early 2020. This government decision therefore seems to go backwards compared to the previous approach.
However, the situation must be put in context: this extension is exceptional, and the 2021 summer sales should, except surprise, last four weeks, as provided by law.
How to make the most of the sales?
The sales started almost a month ago, and if you're one of the latecomers who have a habit of last-minute shopping, you might be able to take advantage of the situation.
Indeed, many buyers have already exhausted their sales budget, so this is an opportunity to browse the offers displayed during extensions to please you at the best price.
Take the time to compare offers between traders, however, to make sure you're getting the best deal available.
