Despite what is called the "lost year" (it is 2020), it turns out that there is reason for optimism regarding the expected number of flights between Israel and the United States in 2021. Anna Aero airport reports that this year we are expected to predict 12 different routes between the two destinations - double Than it was at the beginning of the previous decade.
According to forecasts, a total of 2.6 million seats are expected to be sold this year, which will make 2021 the best year in terms of the number of flights between Tel Aviv and North America.
Just for comparison, this number is 36 percent larger than in 2011.

EL AL - The company with the most seats in the USA
El Al still has the largest share in terms of the number of seats between the two destinations - an expectation of close to 1.2 million in 2021, on nine different lines.
Thus, it is responsible for 45 percent of the number of seats.
In addition, when comparing the 2021 forecast to the 2019 data (2020 as mentioned is not relevant for comparison, due to the corona crisis), it appears that there will be a nine percent increase in the number of seats between Tel Aviv and destinations like Chicago, Dallas, Washington and Las Vegas.
A nice increase is also recorded in the number of seats to New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

And yet, New York at the top
The American airline United is returning to fly to Israel this year in full force, with three new routes: a daily flight from New York (starting May 6), three weekly flights from Miami (starting June 4) and three weekly flights from Dallas (starting October 31) ).
Last week, American Airlines also announced a direct line between Miami and Tel Aviv, which will operate three times a week starting June 4.
According to another interesting forecast, most of the flights between the two destinations will fly to New York City's JFK Airport.
This is 894,000 seats, with a share of 35 percent of all flights.
This is an increase of 27 percent compared to 2019. One of the reasons for this is the strengthening of the American airline Delta.
It will be responsible for 362,000 seats in 2021, and this summer it will have 14 weekly flights to and from Tel Aviv.
In total, this summer there will be up to 11 daily direct flights between New York and Tel Aviv (seven of them from JFK and the rest - from Newark).
