Covid: sick under 400 thousand, fewer tests and less positive

(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 15 - The positives are decreasing, but they are increasing in law for Covid-19 in Italy in the last 24 hours, in the face of the usual drop in tests on Sunday (over 26 thousand less than Saturday).

For the first time since November 2, the 'currently positives' - the sick, those infected with the coronavirus - drop below 400,000.


    There are 7,351 positives recorded in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

Yesterday there were 11,068.

The victims today are instead 258, while yesterday they were 221.


    There were 179,278 tests (molecular and antigenic) carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy, yesterday they were205,642.

The positivity rate drops to 4.1%, compared to 5.3% yesterday (-1.2% in 24 hours).


    On the other hand, patients in intensive care and in ordinary hospital wards increased slightly.

There are 2,089 inpatients in intensive care, with a daily balance of 4 more units between inputs and outputs.

The daily admissions to intensive care were 122. Patients with symptoms are now 18,515, with an increase of 66 units.


    The total cases since the beginning of the epidemic are now 2,729,223, the deaths 93,835.


    The currently positive are now 398,098 (-4,685 in the last 24 hours), the recovered and discharged 2,237,290 (+11,771), in home isolation there are 377,494 people (-4,755).
