There is no question of canceling the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival for two years in a row.
So decided by its directors, Dominique Bluzet and Renaud Capuçon, and its patron the CIC.
Last year, the Covid closed theaters.
To recover from this, its directors had refined a 2021 edition in the form of fireworks.
Alas, the virus is still lurking.
Unless theaters can reopen by March 27, the Easter Festival is playing a 100% digital edition.
“The festival had to live and therefore seek something that testifies to our ability to reinvent ourselves.
It is not a question of eliminating the notion of live performance but rather of using this period as a laboratory conducive to imagining new experiences which will serve us later ”
, says Dominique Bluzet.
From March 27 to April 11, sixteen concerts will be broadcast live from Aix.
