(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 15 - "Winners announced? Not at all, let's go to enjoy our Sanremo and have fun".
Francesca Michielin and Fedez, paired at the Sanremo Festival with the song "Chiamami per Nome", do not want to be conditioned by expectations and forecasts with closed boxes on the eve.
"Prejudices, for better or for worse, have no meaning," they say.
The song, written by the two of them with Davide Simonetta, Alessandro Mahmoud, Alessandro Raina and produced by d.whale, marks the return together of the two artists after the successes of Magnifico and Cigno Nero.
For Francesca, who has already participated in the Festival arriving second in 2016 (and participating in the Eurovision Song Contest), it is a return to Ariston, for Federico (name in the registry office of Fedez) it is a first time.
"And I have a certain anxiety, but I chose shock therapy," she admits.
For Fedez no recording project on the horizon ("I didn't want any kind of corollary with respect to the festival and I don't know what will come later, I enjoy the journey"), while Francescap will publish on March 5th Feat. a collective project, conceived in chapters ") released at the beginning of the pandemic.
"From 25 February, then, on my birthday, my first podcast comes out: we will ask ourselves about women and their battles today".
The two were also protagonists of the inevitable pre-festival controversy, with the publication on Fedez's social profiles of 10 seconds of song, for which they risked disqualification.
"I was not angry and I think it is a bad addiction that it was made to talk about us", is the singer's acquittal.
