Parts of British Queen Victoria's funeral jewelry will soon be auctioned in London.
Pearl buttons, brooches and pendants will be offered on March 24, as announced by the auction house Sotheby's.
The pieces, which were previously owned by the family, would have given comfort to the Queen after the death of her mother and three of her children.
Victoria, great-great-grandmother of the reigning Queen Elizabeth II, was known for her mourning attire.
Since the death of her husband Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1861, she wore black every day.
The jewelry is very "biographical," said David Macdonald of Sotheby's to the PA news agency.
The jewels are valued at 1,000 to 3,000 pounds (1140 to 3430 euros) each.

The mourning jewelry belonged to Patricia Knatchbull, who died in 2017, the great-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria.
The jewelry was only discovered in preparation for the auction, said Macdonald of Sotheby's.
One of the objects is an agate and diamond pendant that was commissioned by Prince Albert after the death of Victoria's mother.
Inside there is a curl and a miniature portrait of the mother.
