Another side effect of the vaccine?

In recent days, a claim has been made on social media by various women who have been vaccinated against the corona virus, according to which they experienced bleeding after the vaccine.

Some women report that their menstrual cycle has been brought forward, and some have referred to the phenomenon as bleeding without making contact with menstrual bleeding.

Among the forums where this phenomenon was raised was the Facebook group "Talking about vaccines", in which a number of women testified about the phenomenon of bleeding or premature menstruation after being vaccinated against the virus.

Meanwhile, inquiries have also been made to members of the Ministry of Health's Vaccine Safety Advisory Committee, those who monitor side effects and receive the report of prevalence.

Due to referrals, the issue is expected to come up for discussion tomorrow (Wednesday) in committee.

Adva Lotan, CEO of Madaat and a member of the Corona Vaccine Vaccine Monitoring and Safety Monitoring Committee at the Ministry of Health, commented: "Although no such phenomenon has been reported in the experiment, there have been many reports on social media in recent days.

I intend to bring this issue up for discussion in the Corona Vaccine Monitoring Committee.

If it does turn out to be a vaccine-related phenomenon, it is further evidence of the importance of gathering extensive information after the vaccine is approved. "

She added: "And yet, it is important to remember that there is no evidence that this is a serious phenomenon beyond a certain irregularity, which may also routinely appear in times of mental stress. It will be important to examine the reports in depth and compare vaccinated and unvaccinated women."

Prof. Roni Maimon, chairman of the Israeli Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, told Israel Today: "I have also heard of such reports but I can not see a direct connection between the vaccine and the introduction of menstruation or spots.

However, it is important to know that there are indirect causes related to corona that can also be expressed in the hormonal cycle of women.

It sometimes stems from a lifestyle change, from a stressful period that has a hormonal effect on all of us or from eating habits. "

He added: "So far at least I have not heard a scientific claim explaining these reports. If there is then it will probably come from the environment in which I work, which is an environment of doctors reporting things to each other. This is how the Remedia affair began, after one of the doctors reported. I am not aware of such a situation here. "
