There is less and less for the return of students to classrooms in the province of Buenos Aires - the cycle begins on March 1 - and this Monday the Government of Buenos Aires defined the details of the protocol for returning to classes.
According to the epidemiological situation that occurred in different parts of the Province of Buenos Aires, the Government of Axel Kicillof defined that the return to face-to-face classes
be with a weekly rotation in those schools that, due to their building complications, have to divide the students into more groups.
"What we are promoting is generating weekly blocks. That is, a week yes, a week not in those schools that do not allow presence every day.
The boys will go to school one week and study from home the following week
," said the General Director of Culture and Provincial Education, Agustina Vila.
In radio statements, the head of the provincial educational portfolio said that
a model similar to that applied by Santa Fe, Córdoba and Entre Ríos will be adopted.
The official calculated that some
4,000 schools will be able to comply with full presence
five days a week,
while another
12 thousand students will have to alternate in groups.
Vila also specified that in the cases of face-to-face classes
"they will be four hours a day"
and explained that although the protocols for returning to face-to-face are mandatory general guidelines,
"there are also particularities according to each district
.
"
"The governing protocol is
distance, which causes that in some schools the groups have to be subdivided
, there the presence will not be every day of the week but alternate," he said.
Vila clarified that in the province of Buenos Aires
"
the school year begins on March 1
,
but
on February 17 we will start with the boys who have to recover content."
Although the Jurisdictional Plan for the Safe Return to Face-to-Face Classes at first contemplated the possibility that the rotation of students is every two days,
now it has been established that it will be every week
"because some aspects were updated that try to make that presence even more careful "Vila explained.
The Plan establishes guidelines for the institutional organization of schools to enable social distancing, adequate air circulation,
cleaning and disinfection
of establishments and personal
hygiene
.
For this reason, the models of school and pedagogical organization will be implemented considering the space that each educational establishment has to respect the mandatory social distancing.
Among the general care guidelines
are the mandatory use of masks for students, teachers, and assistants
;
the social distance between students and teachers, of at least one and a half meters between students and two meters from the teacher in the classroom, and another two meters in common spaces.
It also includes frequent hand hygiene (at least every 90 minutes), temperature control at the entrance of the establishment (maximum 37.4º C), ventilation of the rooms (at least every 90 minutes) and
maintenance of the doors and windows always open
.
The organization of the
income and expenses
of the schools is planned
in staggered schedules
that avoid the concentration of people such as setting a 15-minute difference between the departure and entry times of the groups of students.
In addition to the protocols, the provincial government plans to start -in a few days- the process of
vaccination against the coronavirus for teachers and educational assistants
.
