    At noon they open, the local beer is poured into glasses and the small tapas saucers begin to empty one by one - at the rate of drinking alcohol.



    In honor of the arrival of Asteria Dam, the official capital of Barcelona, ​​Avi Bitton opened a small tap bar in his kitchen and between sips he prepares chickpea and spinach soup alongside tomato, anchovy and manchego bruschettas.

      • 4 tablespoons olive oil

      • 2 chopped onions

      • 4 chopped tomatoes

      • 3 cloves chopped garlic

      • 4 chopped celery stalks

      • 4 potatoes cut into 3 cm cubes

      • 1 tablespoon smoked / spicy / sweet paprika

      • Salt

      • Ground black pepper

      • 1 teaspoon sugar

      • 2 cups cooked chickpeas (can be used frozen or canned)

      • 200 grams of washed fresh spinach leaves

    • For the bruschetta:

      • 3-4 slices of white bread (possibly a baguette)

      • Olive oil

      • 2 tomatoes

      • ¼ Bunch of parsley

      • 4-5 unit anchovies

      • From salt

      • black pepper

      • Manchego or any hard cheese you have at home (Parmesan / Kashkaval / Bulgarian / Feta)

    How to make spinach and chickpea soup with bruschetta?

      How to prepare the soup:

      Heat oil in a saucepan.

      Add onion, tomato, garlic, celery and salt.

      Mars 3-4 minutes, stirring.

    • 2 Add the boiled potatoes, chickpeas, smoked paprika, a little sugar and ground black pepper.

      Stir until the vegetables are well coated in the paprika and cook for another 2 minutes.

    • 3 Pour water until the vegetables are covered and a little more.

      Bring to a boil, lower the flame, partially cover and cook for 40 minutes until the potatoes are tender (if liquid is lacking, complete with boiling water).

    • 4 Add the spinach leaves and cook for another 5 minutes.

      How to prepare the bruschettas:

      Roast the bread in a pan with a little olive oil.

      Meanwhile, chop the tomatoes, parsley and anchovies.

      Form a kind of salad and season with very little salt (salted anchovies), ground black pepper and olive oil.

    • 6 Place the toasted bread slices on a serving plate and stack over each slice a little of the tomato and anchovy salad and grate over the cheese.

    • 7 You can serve the bruschettas next to the soup and you can serve each dish separately.
