(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 18 - The 'Monti quota' does not break through and Mario Draghi's confidence in Senato's government remains below 19 votes. Thanks to the announced and solitary opposition of Brothers of Italy, the team of the former president of the ECB boasts record numbers, with its 262 yes, 40 no and two extensions. The Andreotti IV government did better in 1978 with 267 yes and that of Enrico Letta in 2013 with 233. The abstainers were Tiziana Drago of the Misto group, former M5s, and AlbertLaniece of the Autonomies. Instead, all 19 senators from FdI and 15 from the 5-star Movement are against. The so-called five-star 'dissidents' stand out, more than ten expected in recent days. They are Laura Granato, Virginia La Mura, Elio Lannutti, Barbara Lezzi, Matteo Mantero, Cataldo Mininno, Vilma Moronese, Nicola Morra, Fabrizio Ortis, Rosa Abate, Laura Angrisani, Mattia Crucioli, Silvana Giannuzzi, Fabio Di Micco, Margherita Corrado. Basically, apart from 2 justified absentees (Orietta Vanin on leave and Francesco Castiello on a mission) and 6 others who did not participate in the vote (Giuseppe Auddino, Elena Botto, Antonella Campagna, Emanuele Dessì, VincenzoGArruti, Simona Nocerino), those in favor of the M5s there were 69 of the 92 overall. Although it remains the largest group in the Senate with 92 MPs, it marks a marked decline in consensus compared to the three previous governments. From 2018 to today, between expulsions and farewells, the Movement has 'lost' 15 senators, plus two deceased (Franco Ortolani in 2019 and Vittoria Bogo Deledda in 2020). (HANDLE).
