After many weeks at the top of the infected table, the ultra-Orthodox sector in the last week managed to dramatically reduce the number of infected and the coefficient of infection to 0.72 compared to 0.86 in the entire public.

Throughout the closure period, the ultra-Orthodox cities were bright red, with a high rate of infection, but in recent days most have been defined as orange cities and the infection rate in the sector has fallen below the national average.

Of the 4,385 new patients with the corona virus on Tuesday, only 625 were from ultra-Orthodox society, 14% of the total morbidity.

While the rate of positive tests is still high, 11.2% compared to 6.4% nationally, it is much lower than what was recorded just last week, when in some cities there were more than 25% positive tests.

The coefficient of infection, the famous R, also fell in an unprecedented way when it comes to the ultra-Orthodox sector, standing at 0.72 compared to 0.86 in the entire public.

At the same time, there has been a significant increase in corona vaccines.

In the city of Modi'in Illit, for example, 100% of those aged 60 and over were vaccinated.

On average, 72% of all those aged 60 and over in the ultra-Orthodox sector and 49% of those aged 59-40 were vaccinated.

There has been a jump in the number of vaccinators in recent days, partly in light of the immunization operations in the various cities.

Thus, in Bnei Brak it is reported that in Operation "Green Night" 6,000 people were vaccinated.

In the city of Beitar Illit, thousands were vaccinated in this way.

Avi Blumenthal, an advisor to the Ministry of Health for the ultra-Orthodox sector, notes that the massive decline in the coefficient of infection and the number of verified patients has several significant reasons, the main one being mobilization within the sector.

"We have reached a point where the public is asking for a closure, that parents are calling for Talmudic Torah and asking not to open, people are begging their friends to keep the guidelines."

Blumenthal says that the ultra-Orthodox media also fully mobilized for the first time in the war on Pike News, which helped the effort.

For the first time, there was a consensus in most of the ultra-Orthodox media, and they are the ones who set the tone against the violators of the guidelines.

There has never been such a voice. "At the same time, there was a significant dialogue between senior officials in the Ministry of Health, including the corona projector for the ultra-Orthodox sector, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Roni Noma, and the leading rabbinical houses in the ultra-Orthodox community. "Israel is critical and decisive, because in the end the public trusts them."
