Now the Trump era is ending in Atlantic City.
Less than a month after the former US President left Washington, Trump Plaza in the gambling city of Atlantic City on the US east coast is disappearing in smoke.
It took 3,000 sticks of dynamite and seven seconds to collapse the 100-meter-high building in a controlled manner.
Before that it was empty for years.
Prior to his presidency, Donald Trump was a major real estate developer. Trump Plaza in Atlantic City is one of several casinos and hotels that he operated under his name. He opened the Plaza in 1984 and lost it in 2009 when his casino holding company went bankrupt. His name stayed on the casino for a total of 30 years - until 2014 - as part of a licensing agreement. But that, too, has long been history - as is the building now.
