The right-wing American radio host Rush Limbaugh is dead. His family said he died of lung cancer on Wednesday at the age of 70.
Widow Kathryn Limbaugh announced the death news on the presenter's show.
It was announced last year that Limbaugh had lung cancer.
Born in Missouri in 1951, Limbaugh was considered one of the most influential right-wing conservative journalists in the United States.
For decades he had millions of listeners with his radio show.
The US President Donald Trump, who was elected in November, awarded Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom last year.
It is one of the highest civil awards in the country.
