Covid: 13,762 new cases, 347 victims. The positivity rate rises to 4.8%

288,458 swabs were carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy. From March 1st, the vaccinations of over 65s in Lazio will start. Also in Lazio 20 thousand professors have been booked (ANSA)


 There are 13,762 new coronavirus cases registered in Italy in the last 24 hours

This was announced in the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The victims, however,

are

with the positive rate compared to the new cases (13,762) rising to 4.8% from 4.1% yesterday.

To date, the coronavirus positive are 384,501 (-4,363), while those discharged or recovered are 2,286,024 (+17,771).

The total victims, on the other hand, are 94,887. 

The number of patients hospitalized in intensive care for coronavirus in Italy are 2,045, two more than yesterday.

Patients with symptoms, on the other hand, are 17,963, 311 fewer.

Vaccinations by general practitioners

The novelty, pending the official act of the ministry, is that we will start from those born in 1956 (65 years) with the Astrazeneca vaccine.

The booking is staggered by age group taking into account the new authorization of Aifa up to 65 years and pending the official act of the ministry.

Therefore the new calendar will be: 45-55 years from today 18 February;

56-65 years from February 22;

35-44 years starts from February 24 and finally those under 34 from February 26.

This modality does not concern students (over 18).

The administrations will start on February 22nd.
